Stencil printing was originally the oldest printing method in stencil printing. Due to the advances in screen printing technology, the amount of stencil printing has gradually decreased. However, due to the stencil printing plate making, the printing technology is simple, and the cost is low, the substrates such as road signs, stop signs, advertisements, and other words, lines, and color patches are also frequently used.

Since the stencil printing does not use machine equipment, as long as the stencil printing plate is tightly attached to the substrate, the ink is sprayed onto the printing plate with an air compressor. Inkjet is attached to the substrate through the apertures in the stencil, and the printing is completed. This method of printing is particularly suitable for applications where the substrate is stationary, such as buildings, walls, car bodies, and large public transport signs.
