Furniture exports in the first four months of the year reached 11.747 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.7%

The General Administration of Customs yesterday released the import and export situation of China's foreign trade from January to April this year. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, the total value of China's imports and exports in the first four months of 2011 exceeded US$1 trillion, with a total value of US$1,103.32 million. Among the key export commodities, furniture and its parts exported 3.321 billion U.S. dollars in April, and the accumulated exports in January-April were 11.747 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.7% over the same period of last year’s exports of 9.729 billion U.S. dollars.

According to customs statistics, in the first four months, China’s imports and exports exceeded US$1 trillion, with a total value of US$1,103.2 billion, an increase of 28.5% over the same period last year. Of this total, exports were 555.3 billion US dollars, up 27.4%; imports were 545.02 billion US dollars, up 29.6%. The accumulated trade surplus was 10.28 billion US dollars, a decrease of 32.8%.

According to customs statistics, in April, China’s total import and export value was 299.95 billion US dollars, an increase of 25.9%. Of this total, exports were US$155.69 billion, an increase of 29.9%, setting a record of US$154.12 billion set in December last year; imports were US$144.26 billion, up 21.8%. The trade surplus for the month was 11.43 billion US dollars.

In the bilateral trade with major trading partners, the bilateral trade volume with the EU in the first four months was 170.01 billion US dollars, and the growth and import and export value of Beijing were 166.58 billion, 134.2 billion and 1231.7 billion, respectively, up 22.6%. 22.8% and 29.1%. 23.5%. During the same period, the total bilateral trade volume between China and the United States was US$133.71 billion, an increase of 24.8%. The bilateral trade between China and ASEAN is worth US$110.21 billion, an increase of 26.5%. According to customs statistics, in the first four months, the total import and export value of Guangdong Province was 279.12 billion US dollars, an increase of 29.7%. In the same period, the import and export values ​​of Jiangsu Province and Shanghai Municipality in Zhejiang Province, Shandong Province and Fujian Province were 92.04 billion, 73.74 billion and 40.28 billion US dollars respectively, up 26.2%, 34.1% and 26.9% respectively. The total import and export value of the above seven provinces and cities accounted for 82.6% of the total import and export value of the country. In terms of exports, in the first four months, Guangdong's exports were US$159.84 billion, an increase of 32.8%. Jiangsu Province and Shanghai exported 94.25 billion and 62.85 billion US dollars respectively, up 23.1% and 20% respectively. In addition, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian provinces exported 62.73 billion, 38.76 billion and 25.37 billion, respectively, up 26.1%, 33.1% and 23.8%; Beijing's exports were 17.22 billion, up 2.8%.

Among the export commodities, in the first four months, China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products reached US$319.76 billion, an increase of 22.9%, accounting for 57.6% of China’s total exports during the same period. Among them, the export of electrical and electronic products was 132.9 billion US dollars, up 26%; the export of machinery and equipment was 103.71 billion US dollars, up 17.1%. In the same period, traditional bulk commodity exports grew steadily, with apparel exports reaching US$39.57 billion, up 22.9%; textile exports at US$28.93 billion, up 34%; and footwear exports at US$11.9 billion, up 22.9%. The cumulative export of furniture and its components from January to April was 11.747 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 20.7% over the same period of last year. Among them, the export in April was 3.321 billion U.S. dollars.
