Drip test device water requirements specification

The drip test device is a test instrument for IP1 and IP2 in the IP rating test. Since the water consumption is relatively large when the drip test is performed, many users want to directly test the tap water for cost saving, which is certainly not acceptable. What kind of water quality requirements can meet the requirements of the drip test?
Everyone thinks that the pure water spray sample is to avoid corrosion inside the instrument, but this is not the main reason. The main reason is that ultra-pure water can ensure the clean test conditions and test reproducibility. In addition, if the water is not specially treated to remove cations, anions, organics, especially silicon, the surface of the sample will be stained, which does not occur during natural exposure. Therefore, the content of solid matter and silicon in the spray water should be less than 1 μg/g and 0.2 μg/g, respectively. Usually, distillation or ionization combined with reverse osmosis can be used to obtain pure water and distilled water to meet the water requirements of the drip test. A typical practice is to install water purification equipment in the middle of the water and drip test equipment. The water purification capacity should meet the relevant requirements of the test.
