1 Overview


Corrugated cartons are an ideal packaging container. He is light, strong, vibration-absorbing and suitable for mechanized production. In addition to protecting goods, facilitating storage and transportation, it also serves to beautify and promote goods. 2. Material


(1) Corrugated base paper and linerboard: There are two kinds of base paper used for making corrugated paperboard: core paper and corrugated paper: (1) Making corrugated paper in corrugated board is called “core paper”; (2) Paper used for both sides is called “face”. Paper or paper. In the production of corrugated cartons, low-weight paper is generally used as the core paper, and high-weight paper is used as the paper or liner.


(2) The shape of the corrugated file: The commonly used corrugated file is U-shaped and V-shaped.


U-type corrugated - The dome is round, its structure is flexible, it has a soft hand feeling when pressed, and it has a strong elastic restoring force in the elastic deformation range. The service life of the U-type crucible is longer than that of the V-type crucible, and the U-type crucible is advantageous to increase the mechanical adhesion speed, and the corrugated paper after bonding has little change. The disadvantage is that the amount of adhesive is large.


V-type corrugated file - The entire file consists of straight lines. The corrugated board produced is rigid, its plane pressure strength is higher than U-type corrugated board, and the amount of adhesive is less than that of U-type crucible; the disadvantage is that once the corrugated board produced exceeds the elastic limit, it will completely lose the restoring force, and the corrugating roll manufacturing process Complex, frequent breakage of the dome, corrugated roller wear faster than U-type rake.


According to the advantages and disadvantages of U- and V-type corrugations, a type of “UV” corrugated between them came into being. This type of corrugated make up for the shortcomings of U-shaped and V-shaped flaws.


(3) Types of corrugated medium: The corrugated boxes used as export shipping packages are generally made of the following three types of corrugated type—A type, B type, and C type. Type A: The number of corrugations per unit length is the smallest and the corrugation is the highest. It is used for the packaging of light products and has a large buffering force. Therefore, the application is most common.

Corrugated cardboard boxes made of B-type corrugated paperboard can withstand large plane pressure and are suitable for packaging cans and bottles.


Type C: The number and height of corrugations per unit length range between Type A and Type B. The performance is also somewhere in between. It originated during the Second World War and was designed by the United States to transport military supplies. Made by other countries rarely used.
