Second, the application of transparent ink in the packaging

In order to obtain high brightness and vivid colors, transparent ink printing is inseparable from aluminum-plated films, aluminum foils, and aluminum foils. Because the transparency of the transparent ink is extremely high, it can be changed with the aluminized film or directly printed on the above materials, and the gloss and color of the metal can be revealed so that the yellow is more yellow, the green is more green, the red is redder, and the effect is excellent. The most typical is transparent yellow, after the composite printing on the aluminum film, and then covered into the paper made of cardboard boxes, cartons, New Year pictures, etc., will produce a similar effect of gold foil. The specific application is as follows:

1. Gift gold paper and packaging paper used to produce colorful flowers, color bars, ribbons, etc. are printed in transparent ink (red, yellow, green, blue, etc.) or printed with aluminum film. It is a monolayer film.
2. The flexible packaging made by printing transparent ink followed by composite with aluminized film, or the flexible packaging made by printing aluminized composite film after printing is a two or more layer film, which is widely used in the food industry.
3. It is generally made of high-grade packaging such as carton, carton, and New Year pictures with aluminum plated after printing and then applied to paper. The printing product is waterproof, moisture-proof and anti-counterfeit.
4. After printing with security materials, printing with clear ink and then covering with a laser film will help prevent the forgery of printed products and make the appearance colorful and shining.
The use of transparent ink in the packaging printing, the design of the screen generally use spot color line pattern, the use of other printing surface space to highlight the brilliance of transparent ink, but also a large area of ​​printing.

Third, the choice of transparent ink prerequisites

Before selecting the clear ink, first confirm the printed substrate:
1. Is aluminum foil or aluminum or aluminum foil.
2. Is printed on the surface or printed in India, and should check the EDM surface.
3. Is the composite after film printing, or after printing aluminum. If it is a compound film after printing, it should determine the film variety, such as OPP, PET, PA, PVC and so on.
4. Determine the hue and color of the clear ink.

After the above points are determined, suitable transparent inks can be purchased according to their own needs (for example, post-printing aluminum should be printed with clear ink). Consult suppliers for their instructions and thinners to avoid improper use. .

Fourth, the printing of transparent ink

After determining the type of clear ink, select the appropriate thinner based on the type of clear ink, and then determine the plate number and color. When using, prepare quick-drying, dry-drying and slow-drying thinners according to the speed of the printing machine. Then adjust the angle of the doctor blade and the pressure of the impression cylinder and the distance between the doctor blade and the embossing point according to the depth of the printing plate. If it is not good, watermarks and non-coloring can easily occur. To control the drying properties of other types of inks, prevent other inks that are not dry from mixing into transparent inks, causing the transparent inks to lose their effectiveness. The plate cylinder is preferably electronically engraved and the depth of plate making is generally about 35 μm.

In short, the use of clear ink printing and packaging products, if the design and printing process is not properly controlled, it loses the significance of the use of transparent ink, but also can not get the ideal package. Therefore, it is crucial to control every aspect.
