The forest industry has to be in a long-term situation of over-exploitation, resulting in the depletion of recoverable resources and the production of wood products. The packaging industry is also in a very embarrassing situation. Under such circumstances, how to fundamentally solve these problems, realize the green packaging of wood products and implement the scientific development concept, and promote the sustainable development of China's resources? The author only discusses the wood packaging as follows.

1 Wood material is a natural green packaging material

First of all, wood packaging has its unique advantages. Wood is a renewable resource in the world's recognized materials, sustainable use, and is the oldest packaging material in history. Secondly, wood processing is less polluting and has good environmental coordination. This can be explained by the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from the processing. Wood packaging has good environmental characteristics. Also, compared to other materials, wood processing consumes the least amount of energy. In addition, wood has pleasant visual, tactile, olfactory and humidity-control properties. It is a good indoor environment material and living utensils material, especially paper products with wood as the main raw material, which has good printability and excellent ease. Folding performance, light weight, easy recycling, is the most widely used material in the packaging industry.

In addition to synthetic materials such as plastics and rubber, among all natural renewable materials, only wood itself is not only environmentally friendly, but also has its unique green packaging properties. Therefore, wood packaging materials are the most widely used green packaging materials in the world. one.

2 Application status of wood packaging

In recent years, China's economy has developed rapidly, almost every year at a rate of 9%, and various resources are also consumed, and timber is one of them. As we all know, China's timber resources are extremely scarce. According to the trend analysis of wood consumption status over the years, the annual average consumption of domestic timber has reached 333 million cubic meters, which has reached 370 million m3 in 2005 and 460 million m3 in 2015. According to the demand forecast data, the minimum gap between timber supply and demand in the future (2005~2015) is between 1.2 and 170 million m3. Therefore, it is necessary to import a large amount of wood every year to make up for the huge gap between supply and demand. However, in China's annual consumption of 300 million m3, almost one-tenth of the wood is used for various product packaging. For example, paper packaging, China's annual consumption of paper packaging products is about 20 million tons, of which wood pulp as the main raw material accounted for about 40%, nearly 8 million tons, consumption of pure commercial materials more than 20 million m3, if these woods are erected That is a vast forest of smoke.

One of the serious wood packaging is the annual moon cake "war". According to the statistics of relevant departments, the annual cost of mooncake box packaging in China is as much as 2.5 billion yuan. The cost of mooncake box packaging accounts for more than 1/3 of the total cost of moon cake production, and the waste of wood resources reaches 80,000 m3. China's packaging standards are a serious over-packaging phenomenon.

In addition, paper packaging in daily life is everywhere, such as various cigarette cases, wine boxes, hat boxes, shoe boxes, toothpaste boxes, shirt boxes, food boxes, gift boxes, and a large number of shipping cartons, etc., the most distressing Yes, the fate of these fine-quality and beautiful-looking paper packagings is the same, that is, discarded, and most of the processing results are incinerated, and only about 20% of discarded paper packaging wastes are recycled.

Solid wood packaging has always been the main transportation packaging material for large and medium-sized equipment precision instruments and some glass ceramic products in China. Most of these solid woods have been abandoned after being dismantled by consumers.

3 Methods and measures to solve the problem of wood packaging

3.1 National implementation of legal regulation

From the perspective of the promotion of green packaging in the world, it is indispensable and effective to carry out legal regulation of green packaging. However, the existing laws in China are not perfect for the legal regulation of green packaging, and it is necessary to learn from foreign experience. In many foreign countries, laws and regulations restricting excessive packaging and encouraging the development of green packaging have been formulated. For example, Germany, which first promoted the recycling of packaging materials, has formulated the “Circular Economy Law”, and Denmark has taken the lead in implementing the “Green Tax” system.

The relevant departments of our country should formulate measures to strengthen management, and start from the source, so that the external content of the goods and the external form of packaging become a proper combination, rather than flashy propaganda. It is recommended to formulate the "Commodity Packaging Regulations", promote reasonable packaging, prohibit excessive packaging, encourage the development of green packaging, and enhance the recycling of packaging waste. There must be a special system and specific targeted legal measures. For wood packaging only, corresponding laws and regulations should be introduced to avoid the waste of resources caused by transitional packaging. We should try our best to maintain China's only green resources. Make it sustainable for future generations.

3.·2 Establish and improve China's wood packaging waste recycling system

In developed countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain, they specialize in the packaging of wood products as a type of waste, most of which are recycled and re-smelted into pulp. After recycling in the Netherlands and other countries, more than 60% of non-food packaging is reused after strict disinfection and processing. The United States has strict regulations on the production and use of wood packaging. All goods that are packaged in wood are collected from wholesalers. Packaging processing fee; any packaging volume that exceeds the volume of the product is fraudulent.

For China, we should first establish corresponding laws and regulations, strengthen the state's macro management, and make necessary interventions and regulations for production enterprises. The existing General Principles for the Treatment and Utilization of Packaging Waste is a very important basic standard in China's packaging standardization work. Although it is difficult to give the recovery rate and quantitative value proposed in EU regulations or German decrees at this stage, it is possible to clearly state the principle and responsibility of “who pollutes who is responsible, who is responsible for the recycling and disposal of waste” The consequences of responsibility. Make specific provisions on recyclable product packaging and containers, clarify the specific responsibilities of the relevant parties, and maximize the packaging waste recycling indicators and related specific recycling regulations and recycling targets. If the rational use and recycling of wood packaging can be realized according to the model, China's forest resources will no longer be attenuated, and even will continue to grow steadily, thus achieving sustainable development of ecological resources.

3·3 Enterprises must have a correct business concept

Whether it is the packaging of wood or other materials, there is a great deal of over-packaging. The reason why over-packaging is popular in some enterprises is that the profit-driven, such as the gorgeous packaging can increase the added value of the product, can play a certain promotional role. This short-sighted behavior is extremely detrimental to the healthy development of the company. Enterprises must have a clear understanding of the dangers of over-packaging, and thus actively change the business concept and come out of the misunderstanding of over-packaging.

(1) To establish a correct view of packaging quality. First, we must rationally design the product packaging to improve the utilization of packaging materials, reduce waste, and save resources. We must select suitable raw materials and reduce the weight, reduction and volume reduction of packaging products. (3) To establish a people-oriented packaging concept. Products are for consumers to use, so product packaging must consider the consumer's feelings and interests to meet the needs of consumers. Consumers' different preferences for product packaging directly affect their purchasing behavior. In the aspect of product packaging, volume, weight, color, pattern, etc., it is necessary to coordinate with the consumer's personality psychology.

(4) To correctly understand the role of packaging in marketing. An important reason for over-packaging is that companies over-reliance on the marketing function of packaging, the good and bad packaging, and to some extent, the ability of goods to compete in the market. However, a large number of facts prove that although excessive packaging can stimulate consumption to a certain extent, it can bring benefits to enterprises, but its life expectancy will not be very long, only those with novel design, strong attraction, low cost, obvious use value or recycling. The packaging of value is what customers are willing to buy.

3·4 To guide consumers to establish a correct concept of consumption

(1) Guide consumers to rational consumption. The so-called rational consumption refers to the quality of goods, the quality of services and the truth of prices, which is the primary condition for consumers to purchase goods. In real life, the consumption behavior of many people is largely ignored by the value of the goods themselves. Therefore, consumers must learn to rational consumption, learn to correctly judge the value of goods, and not be confused by the fake packaging. We must improve the legal system and strictly enforce the market access system; we must crack down on fraudulent propaganda and over-packaging to protect consumers' rights and interests.

(2) To guide consumers to establish a green packaging consumption concept to enhance environmental awareness and social responsibility. According to the statistics of the sanitation department, in the nearly 3 million tons of garbage, the packaging of various commodities accounts for about 830,000 tons. To solve this problem, consumers are urgently required to establish a green packaging consumption concept and enhance environmental awareness and social responsibility. The core content of the so-called green packaging consumption concept is that when consumers purchase goods, they should consider whether the packaging of the products is environmentally friendly, whether resources are saved, and whether it is conducive to recycling and reuse. To completely solve the problem of over-packaging, consumers' own problems must be solved.
