The GB / T performance measurement standard drafted by Labthink is officially implemented
Labthink drafted GB / T 34445-2017 thermal adhesion performance measurement standard and GB / T 34848-2017 film shrinkage test method standard was officially implemented
A few days ago, Labthink participated in the drafting of GB / T 34445-2017 "Determination of Thermal Adhesion Performance of Thermoplastics and Composite Materials Thermal Covers" and GB / T 34848-2017 "Test Method for Shrinkage Performance of Heat Shrinkable Films" on April 1, 2018. And officially implemented on May 1.
GB / T 34445-2017 is applicable to flexible thermoplastics and their composite materials. It stipulates the test method of thermal adhesion performance under different heat sealing conditions within a specific time interval after the heat sealing is completed and the heat sealing part has not been cooled to ambient temperature. The test cycle covers the entire process from heat sealing to the end of the hot tack strength test, including four stages: heat sealing, delay, withdrawal and hot tack strength test. Through the thermal adhesion tester (i-Thermotek 2400 heat sealing and thermal adhesion performance tester) that meets the standards, the above four stages of the test process are completed in sequence, and the thermal viscosity curve is automatically drawn to obtain the average thermal viscosity. The standard provides legends for multiple failure modes, as shown below. The ideal failure mode is separation at the sealing interface, and other failure modes may not be able to obtain true hot tack strength.

GB / T34848-2017 is suitable for heat shrinkable films produced by polyethylene, ethylene copolymers and their mixtures. The standard specifies the test methods for heat shrinkage strength, cold shrinkage strength and shrinkage rate and the structural design of the heat shrinkage instrument (FST-02 Film heat shrinkability tester). In the test, the heat shrinkage force is the maximum shrinkage force generated when the sample is heated to a certain temperature. It is related to the internal stress generated during film production (tensile orientation). This small force makes the film shrink during cold shrinkage Slow contraction occurs during the process, and the maximum force that occurs during cooling is the cold contraction force.

For different types of heat-shrinkable films, there is also a difference in the relationship between the cold shrinking force and the heat shrinking force. The heat shrinkable film of polyethylene, ethylene copolymer and their mixtures has a cold shrinking force much greater than the heat shrinking force, which can accelerate the shrinking process of the heat shrinkable film. For other types of heat shrinkable film, due to the internal structure of the polymer material, the cold shrinkage force of some types of heat shrinkable film is less than the heat shrinkage force.
In the process of formulating the two standards, Labthink, as the main drafting unit, participated in the completion of a large number of sample verification tests, and proposed many amendments to the draft standard based on its own instrument development experience and test experience. It finally lasted for many years and was officially promulgated by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standardization Management Committee in 2017.
