Analysis of China's Newsprint Production and Development Trend from January to June 2018
From the perspective of regional production: there are 9 provinces producing newsprint in 2017, namely: Shandong Province, Hebei Province, Henan Province, Anhui Province, Hubei Province, Zhejiang Province, Xinjiang Region and Hunan Province. Among them, Shandong Province ranked first in the ranking with an annual output of 1,138,500 tons, making it the largest province in China's newsprint production. Secondly, the annual output of Hebei Province in 2017 reached 444,500 tons, a cumulative increase of 12.39%, ranking second. Guangdong Province ranked third, with a production of 342,900 tons in 2017. It is worth noting that in 2017 Shandong Province was the only province with more than one million tons of newsprint.
2017 newsprint production in various provinces across the country
In June 2018, the output of China's newsprint was 162,000 tons, down 16.5% from the same period of last year. The output of national newsprint in January-June was 1.082 million tons, down 2.3% from the same period last year.
In terms of regions, the top ten provinces and cities in the first half of 2018 were Shandong, Guangdong, Hebei, Anhui, Henan, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Xinjiang, and Fujian. Among them, Shandong Province's news paper production in the first half of the year was 582,200 tons, a cumulative year-on-year decline of 25.07%, but still the first in the first half of the national newsprint production.
