Actual operation of flexo label

Flexographic printing is a form of letterpress printing. It has been widely used in the United States and some European countries. Flexographic printing in the Chinese printing industry can be said to be still in its infancy. However, in recent years, flexographic printing has shown unique advantages in the field of packaging and printing in China, and has made considerable progress. At present, more than 300 flexible printing production lines have been introduced, and its production methods have been accepted by more and more people in the packaging and printing industry.

Since the introduction of the first flexographic printing production line in 1992, it has had three flexible printing production lines of five colors, seven colors and nine colors. These flexo printing presses are mainly used for printing various types of labels, coffee sugar packaging, tea packaging and various packaging bags and a variety of alcohol labels. In the second national quality evaluation of flexographic printing products in 2000, the factory's “big and rich brewers” ​​and “Kweichow Moutai Liquor” wine labels were awarded the “Fake Product Award”. I have been working on flexo label printing for many years, and have accumulated some experience in flexo printing. However, in practice, such problems will arise and need to be resolved.

For example, when we printed this product, Lipton Black Tea, because it was full-printed, used 63 gm of offset paper, had a large amount of ink, dried in the oven during the printing process, and finally printed the finished product to find the paper. Both sides are upturned, which brings great inconvenience to customers' products during the packaging process. In order to solve this problem, I came up with a solution. Before printing, I would use water on the back of the paper first. After the finished product is printed, it will not rise so much, reducing the customer's product packaging. Loss in the process.

Another example is when we print another product, Ankle Pain Relief Cream, we also encountered some problems. Originally, we used Aksu 2000 water-based inks for printing this product, but in order to reduce costs, we switched to water ink of Mudan brand of Shanghai ink factory. Because the black ink viscosity of the Mudan brand ink is not very stable, and the internal particles are coarser, the black version is easy to paste, and a flexible version cannot be replaced for a long time. This will not reduce costs, and product quality will not be guaranteed. Later, we communicated and researched with the masters of the Shanghai Ink Factory, adjusted the composition of the inks, and added appropriate amounts of PH stabilizers during the printing process to make the printed products clearly legible and reduce the loss of the plates.

When we printed the labels, we used the method of cutting into individual sheets and then punching. However, the punched products did not neatly cut, and customers often reported that they would cause downtime when labeling, resulting in abnormal production of customers. Go on. Later, after research and trial production, the online die-cutting method was adopted to solve the problem of erroneous punching, thus giving full play to the advantages of flexographic printing delivery. The daily output is about 600,000 pieces, which increases the output and saves the cost.

Nowadays, our factory has been introducing flexo printing for 9 years. In the actual printing production operation, we feel that we must do a good flexo printing. The most important thing is to adjust the pressure of the printing plate so that we can print delicate products.

In the process of using flexo printing for many years, we encountered various problems. After continuous practice and accumulation of experience, we can objectively say that we basically grasped the operation method of flexographic printing. The above mentioned some experiences, not to mention very mature, willing to learn from peers. Looking ahead, we believe that the flexographic printing industry will thrive.
