Kodak PolyVision's MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System is the industry standard for display prototyping technology. It has reached a new milestone today – it is certified by SWOP (Specifications for Web Offset Publications). The SWOP certification proves that the MATCHPRINT virtual proofing system can accurately and reliably predict the color of the final printed product copied by the CMYK color system in the offset printing environment through the monitor's RGB color system.
"Acquiring SWOP certification is an important leap forward. SWOP as a universally accepted standard will make screen proofing possible, which solves the problems that many printers, advertising agencies and other graphic arts companies are concerned about." Kodak Nancy Matchey, Product Manager of PolyGraphics Graphics Group, said, “The KOMATA PolyGraphics MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System also gives you fast color verification capabilities, efficient electronic document transmission, and an excellent all-digital workflow.â€
Kodak PolyVision's MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System can transmit color proofing, observation, certification, electronic labeling, and postback correction in minutes. MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System provides a unique color correction process tool to ensure the continued gender and stability of color, every day, every monitor and every job point.
SWOP as a senior industry expert has a platform to observe and evaluate color. SWOP certification uses its platform to accurately evaluate color proofing systems from both analog and digital aspects. The Kodak PolyVision Photographic Group SWOP data samples generated by the MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System are visually compared with the SWOP-certified printed proofs with accurate proofing. The MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System includes a comprehensive set of tools for measuring the color bars on the screen, and finally confirms that the color separation results of the SWOP data sheets of the MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing System of Kodak PolyGraphics are consistent with the results of the proofing.
