Crash troubleshooting case 6 - printer idle time is too long
2024-07-22 12:01:38
Fault phenomenon:
The printer hasn't been used for a month and it is not working properly.
â—‡ The printer did not print often, and there was a problem after three months.
Solution:
When your printer is idle for a period of time, the following three conditions may occur:
â—‡ If the ink level of the external ink cartridge is lower than the level of the print head, air may flow from the print head into the print cartridge due to the fact that ink in the ink in the ink line is greater than the ink flowing back to the cartridge. There are tiny bubbles in the ink in the print cartridge, and tiny bubbles in these inks can cause the print to break.
æ¼ If the print head is returned to its original position (the far right of the printer), the rubber gasket leaking on the edge of the print tank below the print head will also cause the surrounding air to adversely affect the print head, causing the ink to dry and oxidize.
â—‡ If the printer is left in an environment of high temperature, dry and direct sunlight for a long time, it will also cause accelerated volatilization, drying, bacteria formation and oxidation of the ink in the ink lines and print heads. For very thin and transparent ink lines Even more so. The following are our recommended effective measures to avoid the above failures. Please follow the steps in the following steps:
â—‡ Before you are ready to use the printer for a long time, perform a nozzle check to make sure the print test line is intact. It is best to print about 10 four-color or six-color color patch test patterns continuously (depending on your printer, print with the default settings of 360DPI), and to ensure the normal effect of the test chart.
â—‡ Press and hold the clear button on the printer panel to give a cleaning command. When the printer performs cleaning (when the ink carriage returns to the right side of the printer and starts to pump ink), unplug the printer and push the print carriage to the left. Use a damp cloth soaked in hot water to gently scrub the rubber gasket on the edge of the ink tank at the far right of the printer. This will help the gasket maintain a clean seal and restore its elasticity, and then the cleaning guard will drip into the tank. Sponge (full of drops), then manually push the ink cart back to the far right of the printer.
â—‡ Observe the maximum height of the various ink levels of the external ink cartridge. Raise the external ink cartridge so that the height is consistent with the level of the printer nozzle. Remember not to exceed the level of the sprinkler! Book can be placed to maintain this height.
â—‡ Finally, save the printer and the continuous ink supply system in a cool, dark place.
