Analysis of development trend of direct injection technology in digital printing

Thermal transfer technology can basically solve the printing of chemical fiber materials. For digital printing of pure cotton fabrics, only direct injection and thermal transfer paper are used. This article mainly introduces the development of direct injection technology.

The direct injection of pure cotton fabrics basically started to show some prototypes after the appearance of pigment ink. At first it was mainly in Europe, which was realized by converting EPSON printers into flatbed printers, which probably happened from 1999 to 2001. The real commercialization started around 2003-2004. Some cotton T-shirt flatbed printers modified with EPSON 2200 and 4800 appeared at the fair. At that time, there were about 2-3 companies, namely USScreenPrint in the United States, DTG in Europe, and Sawgrass in the United States. However, due to poor ink stability and color saturation, they did not achieve great success.

It is Kornit in Europe and Brother in Japan that really push the digital printing of pure cotton fabrics to industrialization. They chose industrial print heads developed by Spectra and Kycera, and developed special pure cotton pigment inks to achieve reliable mass printing of pure cotton fabrics. At present, the major personalized T-shirt printing companies are basically equipped with Kornit931DS printers (about 70,000-100,000 US dollars) and brother GT541 printers (about 15,000-20,000 US dollars). These machines were launched in 2005.

Because these professional machines are too expensive, there is still a certain market for flat-panel direct injection machines modified with epson4800, especially in China. Due to the low technical threshold for this modification, there are many companies in China, South Korea and Taiwan that manufacture and sell such machines. The price of the machine also fell rapidly. It fell from 100,000 yuan per unit 3-4 years ago to 40,000-50,000 yuan. This is still a relatively complete function, with a modified machine that comes with RIP software. If it is just changed to a tablet, it will only cost about 30,000 yuan. At present, the more reliable modified machines on the market are USscreenprinting FAST-T, sawgrass Directadvantage, flexi-jet, Singapore DGjet, European Nanojet, and some Korean machines. There seem to be several in China. I tried a machine from a company in Zhongguancun, Beijing last year. I feel that the function is relatively simple, and their RIP software also has problems, and the pattern color is somewhat distorted. They seem to be using Rohm and Haas ink.

After talking about the machine, we should talk about ink. At present, the inks with better quality on the market for refitting machines mainly include pure cotton inks produced by DuPont, ROHM & HASS, American sawgrass and British nanojet. Most machines use inks from the above companies. These inks are acceptable in terms of color gamut, washability, and stability. Of course, they are very different from the professional machines of Kornit and brother. But the price is much cheaper than that of brother ink (brother ink retail is about 900 US dollars / liter, the cheapest Rohm and Haas ink is about 30-50 US dollars / liter). But I heard that since 2008, Rohm and Haas ceased production of their pure cotton ink. It may indeed be too profitable to make money. Many Korean cotton inks are cheap, but they have not been tried, and the quality is not too clear.

White ink is also indispensable for pure cotton printing. Since 1997, many companies have regarded the development of white ink as their main research project. By 2005, basically gave up. Now only DuPont's white ink is on the market. DuPont's white ink was launched at the Atlanta ISA trade fair in September 2005. It was used in USscreenprinting's Fast-T cotton printer. At that time, the T-shirt was pre-processed, and the white ink was printed three times before the color ink. Nevertheless, it still attracted the attention of all exhibitors. USscreenprinting sold thousands of printers with white ink. Can be described as a moment. But white ink is a very immature product. Because machine plugging is too frequent, USscreenprinting has to spend a lot of energy to deal with quality issues, and even court litigation. Once the funds were very tight, they operated on borrowing. It's really "Xiao He succeeds, and Xiao He loses." In 2007, DuPont launched the second generation of white ink. It is said that the stability has been improved. According to my test, the new ink has improved whiteness and washability, but the stability is still very poor, and the plugging is frequent.

The printing of cotton T-shirts is basically a past tense. Facts have proved that for relatively expensive investment, unstable equipment and ink, it is very difficult to achieve stable profitability. If you have a manufacturer with a large customer base, it is better to invest in professional printers from Kornit and brother. However, the formulating process and development of pure cotton ink provide valuable experience for the widening of pure cotton fabric and digital printing production. Since 2012, the digital printing process of wide-width cotton fabrics has appeared at various trade fairs. All digital printing equipment manufacturers, software manufacturers, and ink manufacturers have begun to integrate and provide reliable printing processes. This will become a hot spot in the next 2-3 years.

Red Coral Bracelet meaning

Coral has been called the 'garden of the sea'. It was once believed to be a plant, but is now known to actually contain living animals called polyps. Coral is the result of accumulated skeletal masses from these polyps. Red is considered the most sought after color but coral also can be found in pink, white, yellow and Black.

Records dating back thousands of years confirm that coral was used in decorative art objects. It was believed to prevent ill fortune and offer protection from skin disease when worn as a Necklace. Dreams about coral are believed to foretell recovery from a long illness. Ancients believed that Mars was composed of Red Coral.

Coral is a good aid for meditation or visualization.

Healing properties of coral

Coral symbolizes life and blood force energy. Dark red coral is used for heating and stimulating the bloodstream. Pink shades restore harmony to the heart. It is used as an aid to depression, lethargy or deficient nutrition.

Sources of coral

Locations where coral can be found include the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Australia, the South Pacific, the waters of Japan, and Africa.
