Vita Developed TPE Hydrophilic Materials

Vita Thermoplastics Compounds (VTC) have completely reversed the water resistance of ordinary TPEs. The company's Vitriprene 50060 TPE will swell to 8 times its original volume after soaking in water for 3 weeks. One week after removal from the water, it can be restored to its original state. The first commercial application of this new material is in the construction industry. In the past, many companies tried to produce hydrophilic TPEs, but all failed. The VTC's products have good sealing performance and endurance and are not available in other products. VTC is seeking more applications such as flood control and cleaning applications and the medical industry.
