Incofan launches environmentally friendly gravure ink

Recently, Beijing Incofan Chemical Products Co., Ltd. announced that after more than three years of research and development, the official launch of WE-type plastic film gravure water-based ink. The product uses water as the main solvent, a variety of high-molecular polymers as the filming substance, together with high-grade organic pigments, inorganic pigments and various additives. It meets the requirements of environmental protection and has good printing performance and adhesion fastness on plastic films such as BOPP, PE and PET with surface tensions of 36 to 42 dyne/cm. After being printed on the BOPP film at a printing speed of 70 m/min by the color printing and packaging factory, the printing effect and performance can reach the level of similar products with aromatics as the main solvent.

Incofan has started mass production and will expand production at any time according to market demand. It is estimated that it can produce 1000-5000 tons in 2006. According to reports, only a handful of factories in China can produce this type of ink, but there is still room for improvement in terms of drying speed, adhesion, gloss, and stability. The price of similar foreign products is high, at more than RMB 100,000 per ton. The introduction of this domestic ink-and-wash ink has effectively filled the gap in the domestic ink-and-wash market.
